# Your results and next steps

Read the measurement, understand the context, and make a plan for what comes next.

[Explore your report](#report)

## Start with the report

Intrinsic Prism organizes results by panel, flags values against the laboratory's reporting framework and adds AI analytics, detailed explanations, potential exposure causes and a personalized protocol.[[2]](#source-2)

24/7 guidance is included to help you understand the report and follow your next steps.[[2]](#source-2)

Visit [How it Works](https://intrinsicprism.com/how-it-works) and select Sample Report to explore the report format.

## Read the flag in context

A flag shows how a measurement compares with the laboratory's reporting framework; it does not establish a diagnosis, exposure source, symptom cause or treatment by itself.[[2]](#source-2)

CDC likewise distinguishes a measured chemical exposure from evidence that the chemical causes disease or an adverse effect.[[8]](#source-8)

The exact product, building, food, workplace or date of exposure cannot be proved from a detected marker alone.[[2]](#source-2)

## Use the plan and guidance together

Your personalized plan brings together next steps for lifestyle, diet, water, air, environment and detoxification protocols.[[3]](#source-3)

Our FAQ states that treatment decisions should be individualized and clinician-supervised, with risks, interactions and contraindications considered.[[2]](#source-2)

Do not stop prescribed medication without speaking to the prescribing clinician.[[2]](#source-2)

Use the included guidance for help understanding findings. For severe or rapidly worsening symptoms or another emergency, seek urgent medical care rather than waiting for website support.[[2]](#source-2)

## Make retesting a useful comparison

Retesting should answer a defined question and use collection conditions that can be compared with the baseline.[[2]](#source-2)

Use the same specimen type and laboratory method, follow the same collection time and preparation instructions, and document major changes in diet, supplements, medications, exposure, hydration and treatment.[[2]](#source-2)

Discuss the purpose and timing of any repeat test with your clinician. This guide is educational, not a personal treatment plan.

## Bring these questions to the conversation

- Which marker and specimen does this result describe?
- What does the reference framework mean for this result?
- What history or collection conditions matter?
- What next action is appropriate, and who should guide it?
- What question would a repeat test answer?
